Today at Greenburgh Academy, housed at Roberto Clemente Campus, we celebrate Roberto Clemente Day! Roberto Clemente was a true global hero. He lost his life nearly 50 years ago in a tragic plane crash. He was on his way to volunteer in assisting his native Puerto Rico after it had been hit by a devastating earthquake. Roberto Clemente was a true Global Hero. We should all try our best to be like him. The world would be a much better place.

Before we say goodbye to this wonderful summer at GA, we must say goodbye to one of our finest students. Queshea Davis, it was wonderful getting to know you, but now, we must share the treasure that is you with the rest of the world. I know you will make this world better! Congratulations!!

I am pleased to share that this weekend Chris Popotte was part of the Hudson Valley squad that took home the gold at the BCANY Summer Hoops Festival in Johnson City.
Chris played great as the team was 6-0 and dominated the competition. Chris was the first player in our district to make the team.
Please congratulate Chris and thank you for the continued support of our student-athletes.

Well, that sad and final day is here. The GA Summer School Tour had to end some time! Take a look at some pics from Mr. Camaj's final Bronx Zoo Odyssey.

A trip so nice I had to post twice!! Bronx Zoo part 2!

Joining the long list of GA Summer School Tour participants, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Crews took students to the south of Manhattan to visit Battery Park and catch a ride on one of the best free rides in NYC, the Staten Island Ferry! Seriously, if you want to impress your out of town friends, take them on the ferry at sunset. Free!!

Wednesday, our GA Summer School students attended a trip to the Bronx Zoo again! This time, they found dinosaurs on their list of to-see exhibits! With one final trip on the books for this summer, please enjoy our trip with us! Follow the link to watch a video collection of even more pics! https://youtu.be/G8i9t5R7Hks

Yesterday, our GA Summer School Tour took its path to the north! Our students were able to experience a gem of the Mid-Hudson Valley. We were fortunate to get the chance to visit Storm King Art Center! One of the premiere sculpture gardens of the world! Joy, our docent provided for us, was truly wonderful! She engaged our students in some wonderful artistic analyses of some of the works we viewed. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place! I know we will certainly return in the future.
