Today was the second day of Spirit Week at Kaplan and everyone was seeing double on Twin Day!

Fun in our 5th period Physics class last week! Students competed to see who's rubber band racer had the greatest displacement and speed.

On behalf of the senior committee, a special thanks to everyone who donated or purchased goodies from our bake sale. All proceeds will help pay for our seniors' tickets for the senior trip. Thank you all so much!
Fun-filled week in our 2nd period Physics class! Students created rubber band powered cars and competed to see who's car had the greatest displacement and speed.
An exciting couple of days in art class: Students have been working on some paper mache lanterns for Halloween! Final product photos to come soon- Stay tuned.
The 4A Painting Class has been working on painting this week. They are coming along quite nicely!
Students enjoyed the Job Corps presentation by Ms. Wendy Tejada yesterday and it was a great success! Check out the Transition page to view pictures and more!
We will be having our Senior Trip this year at Medieval Times in New Jersey on 11/18. If anyone is interested in donating a ticket to one of the seniors please see Ms. Virgadamo or Ms. Cattaneo. Tickets for this event are $45.00
Upcoming Senior Event! Kaplan is hosting a Fundraiser Bake Sale for our Seniors on 10/29 between periods 5 and 6 during the school day. All items must be donated by staff and the items need to be individually wrapped for sale.
Kaplan Academy will be live and back in the building tomorrow October 19th!
Creative Sculpture and Studio Art classes started making spirit animal totem poles in art this week.
Students were asked to come up with 4 animals that represent their strengths physically, emotionally, cognitively and socially.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. students made paper mache masks. Students got to finish them this summer and they are looking AMAZING.
