Today, our 3D Design students got to visit one of those special gems that we love so much in the Hudson Valley. We went to UAP Polich Tallix Art Foundry. Tallix is a world renowned foundry known for creating some of the world's best and biggest sculptures! Students learned about the "lost wax" method of bronze casting. Tallix uses this process for many of the sculptures they create, including the Oscar statuette!! After Tallix, we managed to find our way to Mary Jane's Dairy Bar where we were treated to ice cream by Mr. Posephney. A trip overall!
