Happy Holidays From the Art Department At GA!
This holiday season Mrs. Mead decided to run a collaborative silk-screening workshop with Ms. Binns. In this workshop, students learned about printmaking (specifically silk-screening). Students explored materials - experimented with stencil process, gained an understanding of positive/negative shape, and experimented with color planning and learn what happens when colors overlap. The products of this fun workshop were printed holiday greeting cards with pre-made designs as well as original designs made in Ms. Binns’ Digital Art class.
Once all the cards were printed students decided that they wanted to write personal messages in the cards and give them to the staff at GA as a holiday gift.
